Temporary piles were utilised to ‘stool’ the back of the house during the basement dig, with reinforced single stage underpins utilised to maximise basement area. At the top level, a new mezzanine was created, hung from a new steelwork roof frame. This created a unique duplex apartment to the top 2 levels, with views across to highgate hill and beyond.
